Run training diary, week 11: Brutal, Part 2

I had some low expectations coming into this week. If last week beat me up, this week wasn’t looking to be any better, and it was also set to be the hottest week of the summer.

I set out Wednesday with the plan to probably walk most of the distance, and I set out Thursday to walk with some run (not jog) intervals. And then Friday night I didn’t sleep and Saturday I woke up not at all ready to do nine miles, but I did anyway. It included a common runner problem that shall not be discussed in moderately polite company, especially since it was resolved under questionable legal circumstances.

The weather is starting to cool off, and if I can actually take advantage of Monday as a rest day, I envision a much better week for Week 12.

I explained all the measuring in the Week 1 post.
