Happy afternoon
For those who don't know, i'm moving. Again. Within the city. In addition to having spent last August on the road with my stuff in a storage unit, I this will be my fourth apartment in less than three years. It'll be my first without a roommate though, and I expect that will make all the difference.I was in the new apartment yesterday, putting together the desk, bookcases, the dining room table. Getting it all ready to move into. There's a trapdoor in the hall ceiling, so I figured I must have a crawlspace where I can store some boxes.
Turns out it's a full-on storage attic.
I poked around up there for a little while, and found a shoebox full of cards, letters, drawings, dated 1996 and '97, made out to Dave H- and Jenn P-. I looked up H- in the phone book, and there they were: Jennifer and David H-, currently living only about 5 miles from my new place.
I called, and Dave made his way over quickly, and was very happy to have this box back. Happy enough that it made the rest of my day, and it didn't matter that the Orange won the Big East championship.
The Orange won the Big East championship, by the way, becoming the first team in conference history to win four games in a row for the crown.
I think the new place is going to be good luck.
